Many have asked how they can help Richard and his family. The best way is to make a donation to support his medical needs and help him live the life that he was able to before August 13th. These donations will help alleviate the financial burden that Richard and his family are now faced with. Let’s all help out as much as possible so that they can focus their attention on his rehabilitation.
Two funds have been set up, as a means for helping the family pay for medical expenses that insurance does not cover. These funds would also help pay for such things as house modifications, travel expenses, a van, rehab equipment, specialized beds and chairs, and personal aids. They will ensure that Richard has the best equipment and personal care available, since he most certainly deserves the best. The National Transplant Assistance Fund is a 501c3 nonprofit charitable organization that establishes personal funds for individuals with spinal cord injuries. Contributions are earmarked for Richard’s exclusive use and are available to pay for uninsured medical expenses and to assist with his recovery. The benefits to donating to this fund are:
